Position Overview
The Clean Team of the Charles Village Community Benefits District is responsible for
the everyday beautification of the Charles Village District including, but not limited to,
keeping the sidewalks, curbs, and other areas of the 100 square blocks footprint clean
and free of litter, trash, and other forms of debris. As a Clean Street Ambassador, you
will work with your team to perform your responsibilities, daily, special, and seasonal.

Responsibilities & Duties
● Ambassadors will be assigned to maintain a specific work area.
● Stand and or walk for extended periods.
● Sweep and remove litter from sidewalks, curbs, and other areas of public
spaces.
● Remove debris from curb lines to prevent obstruction to the storm drains.
● Remove weeds and grass from crosswalks, intersections, and designated areas.
● Perform seasonally required beautification and safety improvement tasks, such
as raking, salting sidewalks, and more.
● Provide customer service to visitors, businesspeople, merchants, and residents
of the Charles Village Community.
● Communication with coworkers and supervisors to report location, and
cleanups, and facilitate problem-solving.
● Maintain a highly professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
● Operate gas or electric equipment as necessary.
● Safely traverse the urban environment.
● Safely operate all equipment as trained.
● Other duties as assigned.

● Knowledge of Charles Village Community.
● Experience with Google Drive.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work Environment – Work outdoors for the entirety of each shift in all weather
conditions, handling potentially hazardous waste.
Physical Demands – Standing, walking, bending 8-10 hours a day up to a 12-block
radius, sweeping, pushing around a garbage can, lifting full garbage bags and other
litter. Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
