Job Summary

The primary function of the Residential Permit Parking (RPP) Support Clerk is to provide administrative support to the program, its team members and its customers. The secondary function is to provide support to the front desk.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use a computer to access the iParq Management System to obtain customer addresses;
  • Prepare and print address labels;
  • Adhere address labels to envelopes and mailings;
  • Stuff envelopes with RPP materials;
  • Review and respond to customer emails;
  • Review and respond to customer calls;
  • Greet all individuals seeking entrance into the office;
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls to the appropriate department;
  • Maintain open communication with peers, the public, as well as management;
  • Perform other basic clerical tasks as assigned.

Supervision Received and Exercised

This position works under direction of RPP management and RPP staff and uses specific procedures to meet job responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required, additional education or training preferred;
  • Minimum of two years of office/clerical experience required;
  • Customer service experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge, ability and experience using a computer, and computer programs and software;
  • Basic to intermediate customer service skills when interacting with the public and employees;
  • Skilled in writing business correspondence such as emails or memos;
  • Ability to work independently with specific guidance and with others;
  • Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form;
  • Skilled in the use of a multi-line office phone;

Physical Requirements

The position requires long periods of sitting with occasional standing and walking; wrist-hand-finger dexterity; and close vision with ability to adjust focus. The work environment is conducive with internal temperature controls. Occasional light lifting of materials (10-20 pounds) may be required.
