- Accurately prepare medications based on prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and labeling oral, topical, and injectable medications.
- Maintain accurate medication inventory levels by checking stock, placing orders, receiving deliveries, and rotating medications to ensure proper expiration dates.
- Enter prescription data into the pharmacy computer system, verify patient information, and process refills.
- Deliver medications to patient care areas, including narcotics, following proper procedures and documentation.
- Operate and restock automated medication dispensing machines.
- Maintain accurate records for controlled substances, following strict inventory protocols.
- Answer patient questions regarding medications, providing basic information under pharmacist supervision.
- Perform quality checks on medications and packaging, identifying and reporting any discrepancies.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician license in the state of practice.
- Experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate pharmacy software.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate calculations.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
